Once in a while, we achieve results for our clients in cases that have obtained a substantial amount of attention from the press, but we define our success by the results we achieve for our clients, even if no one notices. Don’t get us wrong, we’d love to be on the front page of the paper everyday of the week, but not at the expense of out client’s privacy or reputation.
Here’s a sample of some of our recent results. Keep in mind, past performance does not guarantee future outcomes.
February 1, 2012 - Buffalo, NY - The Auricchio Law Offices of Western New York is proud to announce its participation in the "thank a vet" program created by the Erie County Clerk's Office, www.erie.gov/clerk. "We're grateful to the men and women that have served our country, and jumped at the opportunity to express that by joining this awesome program," said James Auricchio. "We've been trying to find a way to offer veterans services at a discount, and we're grateful that the Erie County Clerk has provided this outlet." Auricchio said his office will discount rates for services to qualifying clients by 25 percent. "Our focus is criminal and regulatory defense, from minor traffic tickets to more serious matters, we often handle estate planning matters as well, so I think we'll probably meet new clients through this program if word gets out. I'm excited for the opportunity."
January 9, 2012 – Niagara Falls- A Niagara Falls man escaped a jail sentence after his attorney successfully negotiated a plea bargain with Prosecutors that reduced the felony charge against him to a misdemeanor. The case caught the attention of local media after the defendant was terminated from his job for the City of Niagara Falls on allegations that he fraudulently filed unemployment benefits. While politicians in the City sought jail time for the defendant, his attorney argued successfully that a term of imprisonment would serve no one’s interest. Court: Niagara Falls City Court.
December, 2011—Cheektowaga, NY -- While her codefendants face community service and other requirements, one Buffalo teen saw the charges against her dismissed upon a motion by her attorney. Just minutes after her codefendants agreed to a plea bargain that required them to complete hours of community service, Attorney James Quinn Auricchio noted a defect in the charges brought against each defendant, leaving the Court with no choice but to dismiss the charges against his client. Court: Cheektowaga Town Court.
November 20, 2011— Rochester, NY - A New York City resident escaped the fate of her codefendants when her attorney successfully argued for a sentence of probation following her plea of guilty to charges that she conspired with others to commit mail and wire fraud. While the sentencing guidelines required a sentence of two years, and prosecutors argued for a term in prison, the defense convinced a Federal Court Judge to impose probation. Court: United States District Court, Western District of New York, Rochester.
